I have got or I had

Dear Netters! We all know the colloquial expression 'have got'that means 'possess'. One thing to remember, though, is that it is used in this meaning only in the Present tense context.
So, the sentence below contains a mistake:
'On the 12 of December, Sunday, I have got a great amount of four-hour-pain'.
The phrase '...I have got..'should be corrected into '...I had...'
By the way, the rules of the sequence of tenses don't work here, so you can't say '...I had got...'
